Some nurses and patients at the Kokoben health centre in the Atwima Kwanwoma District in the Ashanti Region have lamented over harassment by armed robbers at the health centre, especially during the night shift.
They confessed this to GhNsem.com in interview today, adding that the situation is getting sterner, perhaps appealing to the government to give them accurate security and lighten system.
Speaking to the Physician assistant at the facility, Mr. George Kwadwo Aboagye, he underscored that the impoverished lighten system and other external problems which go beyond their control are the major causes of the dilemmas.
Mr. Aboagye said ‘’ We are praying to the government to provide lighten system for us, our staffs and patients have been denouncing of persecution by these armed robbers, this is an extremely alarmed situation’’.
Moreover. he viewed that some health officers have been sharing same facility with others whilst performing their duties, believing this usually becomes a problem to them.
‘’Another challenge has to do with inadequate facilities., sometimes nurses have to share one room whilst performing their duties. This has become another hassle for us, we need stakeholders and government support ’’, he accomplished.
