The Kwadaso Constituency Women’s organiser in the Ashanti Miss Janet Awuah has required women in government to stiffen their seat belts and move ahead to accomplish their ambitions .
She made this impassioned plea yesterday whilst a nonprofit organization in the party, ”Critical thinkers ” carries a discourse program at Miklin hotel in the Ashanti region.
The astute member of the party emphasized that, women are the backbone of every organization, hence the need for them to be recognized as such and also rise from their comfort zones and fight ahead.
“Being a woman does not mean you can not do anything in politics., we are assets from our mother’s innards. I will plead with my comrades women in the political sphere to advance themselves up to the top”.
She urged individuals who see women in politics as nobody to desist from it, believing this contributes to the factors deterring most women from going into active politics.
“As soon as a lady gets a position in government, they will call her names. I want to take this opportunity to warn those critics to desist from that,” she confirmed.
