PRESS STATEMENT

NATIONAL CONCERN DRIVERS ASSOCIATION OF GHANA

The National Concern Drivers Association has served notice to the government to reduce fuel prices.

Read the full statement below;

We have noticed that ,all efforts for the government to reduce fuel prices and taxes are unheeded.

If Ghanaians will recall, we protested against the high prices of fuel and scraping off some petroleum taxes, but the government has turned a deaf ear to all our pleas and grievances.

As an Association,  we are by this press statement promising the government that, the next line of action by us won’t be favorable to all.

We are giving the government one week ultimatum to reduce taxes on fuel or dance to the tune we will play.

We already stated in our previous statements that the Price Stabilization, Recovery Levy, Energy Debt Recovery Levy, Fuel Marking Margin, and Special Petroleum Tax are the sole cause of the price build up and must be scrapped to let fuel prices come down.

We are disappointment at government’s refusal to meet their demands when it did so in the 2022 Budget Statement and Economic Policy.

Again, We have given the week ultimatum or face our wrath, our members are dying. Some are also running away from their bankers and debtors.

We ask all our customers and stakeholders to bear with us when the time is due.

Thank You.

Long live Ghana
