As the President says, 2021 marks the year of roads, this has embodied in the Western North region, precisely Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality where the residents shower praises on the Npp government for given them first ever asphalt roadways.

The stretch of road linking the major farming inhabitants, such as Subri, Chirano and some mining communities under the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai municipality has been dusty for the past decades, perhaps the residents have thirsty for tarred road, however the long awaited dream of these residents has come to pass.

Speaking to some residents, they expressed their enthusiasm towards the government, though there is a total hardship in the country.

“Although, it has not been completed, but the little done has reduced the dust, obviously we are happy to see first tarred road since the past decades, we want to applaud the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Alfred Amoah for his support,” they expressed.

In addition, they reiterated that, the road since it construction has indeed helped their businesses and daily activities.

“Now we do not have to wait for long time on the roadside before you get a car to travel as it was previously ,businesses are running smoothly because of the tarred road. We will plead with them to complete the remaining for us.”

In resolution, they compelled the government to fast track the culmination of the network mast, which has become a white elephant for some months now.

“One issue which requires urgent scrutiny is our network problem, we have network mast in the neighborhood supported by the MP, but it has become a white elephant meanwhile all surrounding communities are relishing quality network connectivity, we are the only community left with such problem, however, we are appealing to the authorities to come to our aid and finish it for us,” they established.
