“Embrace Research Skills”- CTI Director Charges Politicians


The Director of Critical Thinkers International (CTI) Mr. Kwadwo Akwaah has charged politicians to as soon as possible conduct in-depth exploration into matters applying to the progress of the country.

He disclosed this to the press whilst the organisation holds public Viva/forum on Ghana’s democracy and electoral process.

He stated that his outfit is empowered to hold such programs to expedite the country’s democracy.

Base on the subject of the program which was “The Electoral Performance of the Major Political Parties Since 1992” he admonished politicians to avoid been reluctant on issues relating to research.

He said, “I can tell you I did some research sometimes ago about the Northern region, which implies that the region is now the stronghold of the Npp and not the NDC as presumed some years ago.”

In extension, Mr. Akwaah reiterated that doing a lot of research will inform politicians on what to after wining elections and the next step of action.

“Research is very crucial in every nation, especially in nation building. I will plead with our leaders do proper research into significant issues to find solution for problems confronting the country.”

On his part, Mr. Osei Kofi the National Organiser for the Convention People Party (CPP) queries the rational behind the establishment of tertiary institutions such as Kwame University of Science and Technology, since he believe cannot do concrete research into problems facing the country to find a solution.

“The government must do proper research., what the youth want now is a solution to unemployment and allocation of huge money for inconsequential matters. The National Youth Authority through the government must establish a national research bureau to solve problems facing the country,” he included.

The program which was held colorfully at the Miklin Hotel in the Ashanti region met the presence of leaders of various political parties , Civil Society Organisations, Identifiable groups and association, Religious Authorities, Traditional Authorities among others.
